The Chief Secretary, Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta today chaired a meeting of Administrative Secretaries to review the arrangements to be made for the Navaratras and holy month of Ramzan.
He was apprised about the arrangements made by the concerned departments including Power Development, Jal Shakti, Food and Civil Supplies, and Housing and Urban Development.
The Chief Secretary directed the concerned departments to ensure uninterrupted power and regular water supply in the entire Union territory during the festive month. The Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs Department was asked to ensure the provision of essential food commodities at notified prices, besides conducting regular inspection drives.
Further, the Housing and Urban Development was asked to undertake special cleanliness drives around all habitations for keeping the areas spick and span.
Dr. Mehta also extended greetings to the general public and wished them prosperity, jubilation and growth.
